On Friday, October 5th 2018 in  Nairobi, the finals of the competition for implementing IT in agriculture, organized by the CGIAR, International organization for research in agriculture, has been held. From 130 enrolled teams, only 12 have made it to the finals, while 5 teams have received $100k worth of finances to realize their idea within the next year. Among the awarded teams was also the Institute BioSens from Novi Sad, represented by Oskar Marko and Gordan Mimic. Their idea has sparked great interest since it enables enhancement of proceeds based on the selection of adequate seed without any additional investments. This solution has great potential, especially in Africa, where investments in agricultural production are restricted while the need for food is great.

Rewarded researchers of BioSens, after the awards proclamation, were received by Mr. Dragan Zupanjevac, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Kenya.
